Finally, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has lifted the suspension placed on Nollywood actress, Adanma Luke barely four months after the death of Junior Pope.

LagosTimes Nigeria recalls that Adanma Luke is the producer of the ill-fated movie, ‘The Other Side of Life’, in which the late actor, Junior Pope died alongside four other crew members after their boat capsized in the River Niger in Asaba, Delta State, while on their way to the movie location on April 10 2024.

Reacting to the tragic incident, the AGN suspended Luke for breaching safety protocols and prohibited its members from working with her until further notice.

However, the AGN in a statement issued by its National Secretary, Abubakar Yakubu, announced the lifting of the suspension.

He said; “The National President of the Guild, Dr Ejezie Emeka Rollas announced the lifting of the suspension placed on Adanma Luke, producer of the movie ‘Another Side of Life,’ where star actor, Junior Pope and four other crew member lost their lives in Anam river.

“Also, the President lifted the ban on filming in riverine areas but cautioned members to apply all safety standards recommended in the AGN Bylaws.”
