President Bola Tinubu has signed the new national minimum wage into law.

The President performed the ceremony during a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) he presided over at the Council Chambers of the presidential Villa Abuja, on Monday.

The Next Edition had reported that the Federal government and Organized Labour had settled for N70,000 as the new minimum wage.

The bill was passed expeditiously into law by both arms of the National Assembly last week.

Those present at the signing ceremony included FEC members and the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, who led other members of the National Assembly leadership to the event.
