GETAP Set To Reward Teachers In Low Income Communities
There is a ray of hope for Teachers, especially those teaching in Low-income Communities in Nigeria to get their rewards here on earth.
as Grooming Endowment Teachers is now looking for ways to encourage them.’
Grooming according to its spokespersons, Michael Adegoke and Orji Emmanuel has put up an initiative to reward and encourage these individuals for their hard work, dedication and innovation.
This Grooming says it is important to encourage the reduction of Out-of- School Children in Nigeria by encouraging the Drivers in the sector.
The Grooming Endowment Teachers Appreciation Program , GETAP is an Initiative set up to support 12 deserving Teachers, 2 each across the 6 geo-political zones in Nigeria.’
A Statement from GETAP disclosed that a sum of N200,000 and other resources in kind, awaits successful Applicants’.
According to the Organiser, the gesture is to help alleviate some of the Economic burdens these Teachers face while carrying out their essential functions in the society.
GETAP list out criteria to qualify these individual Professionals for the Awards.
Among them is the that the Applicants must currently be working in any undeserved and remote environment. Must be teaching in a Primary or secondary School.
Must show impact or innovation in Teaching.
Must show passion and plans for continuity in the profession to help more Children and encourage others in the field.
Above all, he must have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.’
The overall objective of Grooming award is tp appreciate Teachers who are making impact especially those who are going extra miles, the initiative is searching for Teachers who are in underserved communities, but exhibiting laudable idea
