Gospel Singer, Mercy Chinwo Welcome First Child With Her Husband

Renowned Nigerian gospel musician, Mercy Chinwo, and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, also known as Blessed, have welcomed their first child.

LagosTimes Nigeria understands that Mercy Chinwo got married to Pastor Blessed on 13 August 2022 in Port Harcourt. The couple, however, reside in Lagos, Nigeria.

The singer took to her social media page on Friday to announce  the good news with a music video of her rocking her baby bump, as she praised her creator for the new addition.

She expressed her gratitude to God, saying He filled their hearts with joy and their lips with testimonies. Though the singer didn’t reveal the gender of the child, speculations are that the couple welcomed a baby boy.

She wrote: “Lord, we are grateful; we approach Your throne with heartfelt songs of praise and thanksgiving.

“You’ve filled our hearts with joy, our lips with testimonies, and our home with celebration. Indeed YOU DO THIS ONE.

LagosTimes Nigeria reports that congratulatory messages have been pouring in for the new parents. Gospel music ministers, friends and families, well wishers have been sending their congratulatory messages including renowned singer, Frank Edwards (a.k.a Frank Richboy)
