The curtains have been drawn on the prestigious English Premier League football season for 2022/2023.
The events that football fans the world over saw in the last 38 weeks of intense gameplay exuded the spirit of the highly competitive game. With it comes unpredictability of match outcomes, and high adrenalin rush by players and fans alike.
The lows and highs of the life of an average bettor in Nigeria
It was 38 weeks of losses, wins, defeats, and conquest.
A 38 week of deciding who the crown fits and who will be booted out to the lower league English Championship.
Let’s talk about the title winners, teams that finished top four and the teams that bottomed out of the table.

The Cityzens were dogged and ruthless, had a long streak of unbeaten run and are out to win a treble after snatching the prestigious EPL title from hard fighting Arsenal.
They want to win FA Cup and Champions League as they are in the finals of each of these tourneys. Time would tell if they would be able to finished off Unfinished Business as they go toe to toe with Red Devils at FA Cup level and also face Milan giants Inter for the final of the UEFA champions League.
Back to Premier League, it as a reel of awards for Manchester City as Haaland broke PL Golden Boot record netting 36 goals in 38 matches.
Pep Guardiola also won the Barclays Manager of the Year Award and an elated Pep could not hold back his excitement knowing that more is expected in the coming days!
Top Four Finish: Newcastle makes History
Newscastle United, a promoted club from the Championship shocked the football world when they clinched a place in the next UEFA Champions League by ended the season on a high note – finishing top four ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea.
It was surprising but they worked hard for it and deserve to be named in the top 4.
Man City, Arsenal, Newscastle and Manchester United will play Champions League while Liverpool will manage the Europa.
Relegation Zoned: The Foxes are Jinxed
Who will have expected a Leicester City that has a good crop of longstanding player Ndidi, Vardy and Iheanacho to get drowned in the murky waters of EPL relegation?
But yeah life kicks….and fate happens.
The Saints – Southampton, Leeds City and Leicester City will be playing in the English Championship next season.
Alex Iwobi’s Everton were saved by the whisker and are saved to continue their EPL participation.
