Breaking: Man shot dead by unknown gunmen in Ekiti

There was panic in Ado, the Ekiti state capital as a young man whose identity is yet to be released was shot dead by unidentified masked gunmen.
This online platform gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning in Irona area of Ado-Ekiti.
The unknown gunmen who were dressed in black waylaid the deceased car and shot severally at his windscreen.
The gunmen then dragged him on the floor before shooting him on the chest.
The attack instigated tension as the killers shot sporadically in the air making traders, commuters and passers-by to scamper for safety.
The gunmen were said to have carried a sack suspected to be filled with money in the car and sped off with their own car.
According to the witnesses, the man already knew he was being pursued as he tried to manoeuvre the roundabout in haste but was held down by traffic congestion.
At the moment, his body has been taken from the crime scene by men of the Ekiti State Police Command.
When contacted, the spokesman for Ekiti State Police Command, DSP Sunday Abutu promised to speak on the attack as soon as he got enough information about the incident.
